Starting from the north after Duello and Costalunga, Casarsa constitutes the third “tongue” of the hills that stretch over the Alpone valley.
The pedological origin is similar to the previous and homogenous except at the summit where the slope becomes a little steeper. In fact, it shows in a clear way the lava flows of different periods gave rise to different substrates with different mineral compositions. As the slopes descend, the depths of the soil
increase.
Here, too, the particular morphology allows a high percentage of planted vineyard, among the highest of the Soave Classico.
From a climatic point of view, the rainfall is among the lowest in the area but fortunately, the temperatures are quite mild. The daily temperature variations become significant during ripening, a crucial moment that benefits the quality of the vintage.
