This is a very homogeneous and well-historicized area. We are on Monte Duello that emerges at the center of the Val d’Alpone. From the point of view of the landscape, it is the ideal place to admire the eastern side of the Soave Classico and at the same time take in the panorama of Roncà with the vol- canic cones of Monte Crocetta and Calvarina. The pedological component is intimately connect- ed to its completely volcanic matrix. The moderate-
ly steep slopes and deep soils are greyish brown in color and clayey-silty in texture. The basaltic stones are scarce in the top soil but are very evident in depth.
The area is characterized by an important ventilation even in the summer which favors important daily temperature swings that help preserve the health and quality of the grapes.
