This is another area with a pedological duality. In the east, the basaltic component is quite evident, with deeper soils, while in the more westward slopes the substratum is clearly calcareous. Here, the soil is moderately deep with a compact limestone rock within a depth of 100cm.
The texture is light-clay on the surface and from light-clayey to clayey in depth.
The vineyards are distributed in the northernmost areas of this geographical unit, while the steepest southern slopes are covered by groves of various plant species.
